Pool Will Remain Closed for the Remainder of 2020 Due to COVID-19 Pandemic
To Cascades Park Residents,
As many of you are aware, our pool which normally opens Memorial Day weekend each year, has remained closed due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic. The preeminent consideration for opening any pool this season is driven by the Forward Virginia Phase Three Guidelines, which impact the pool capacity, entry processes, and require additional safety measures just to meet the minimum requirements. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 travel restrictions, our contracted pool management company cannot properly staff nor ensure cleanliness necessary for Loudoun County approval. The Cascades Park HOA Board of Directors has been actively working with our community management company, SFMC, to find a way to safely open the pool this season; after careful review of all available options, the pool will be closed for the remainder of 2020.
To make the most informed decision possible, the Board thoroughly investigated the availability of services with our current pool contractor and/or supplementing with another vendor. The health & safety of our residents and employees is our priority. The Board must also consider overall liability risks and safety to the community as a whole. It is with heavy hearts and great reluctance that the Cascades Park HOA Board came to this conclusion.
